change the outgoing exim ip

If root want to send mail from a different IP, follow the below steps:

1. Open /etc/exim.conf and comment the line starting with "interface = ${if exists " and add the below line
 interface = 192.168.1.2

remote_smtp:
 driver = smtp
#  interface = ${if exists {/etc/mailips}{${lookup{$sender_address_domain}lsearch*{/etc/mailips}{$value}{}}}{}}
interface = 192.168.1.2
 ------------------------------------------
2. Restart exim mail server
# /etc/init.d/exim restart

3. Now root can send mail from 192.168.1.2
4. If a particular domain want to send mail from another ip, open /etc/mailips and add the below line:

domain.com 192.168.1.3

5. Restart  exim mail server
 # /etc/init.d/exim restart
